IP Camera System Supplier
We have a full line of IP megapixel cameras that attach to your network. We also offer long-range optical and thermal imaging camera systems that work day or night. These can see about two miles in total darkness and even detect a license plate.
These are used in a wide range of applications including surveillance, monitoring industrial processes, and safety and security. Special environmental enclosures protect the cameras in extreme conditions.
Cameras
There are different IP camera models designed for both enterprise and consumer applications. Most network cameras are accessed using a web browser or mobile apps that enable access to live video.
Depending on the model, they can capture high-definition images at resolutions up to 16 megapixels. These images require more storage space and data transmission bandwidth than lower-resolution videos. This is why it is important to have a system that can handle the amount of data your IP camera will need to record and save.
Some IP cameras require a central server for recording, alarm management and other functions. Others are able to operate in a decentralized manner, eliminating the need for an NVR.
Wired IP cameras connect to a wired network via an Ethernet cable. This is considered the most secure ip camera system supplier option, as there is less chance for signal interference and unauthorized access than with wireless systems that connect to a Wi-Fi or cellular network.
Long-range optical IP cameras use a combination of high-resolution sensors and special laser IR illuminators to see objects in fog, smoke, sand and snow up to two miles away. Some models also offer night vision. There are even special explosion-proof IP cameras that can be used in areas where there is a risk of fire or explosives. Camera accessories include mounting brackets, IR illuminators, microphones and speakers.
Accessories
Whether you’re a small business or large corporation, your facility needs security systems that meet your specific requirements. Our wide selection of accessories helps you customize your IP camera system for optimal performance and protection. Our range of accessories includes IR illuminators, directional microphones, door and window sensors, outdoor weatherproof enclosures, mounting brackets and more. We also offer long-range optical cameras that can see in the dark using IR or white light illumination, or use thermal imaging to detect energy emitted from objects.
We offer the best in Pelco security accessories, engineered and tested to ensure precise compatibility and optimum performance. Our IR illuminators, for example, can extend your IP camera’s night vision. Our directional mics allow you to focus in on conversations even when people are several feet away. You can also find the best in long-range optical cameras with advanced zoom lenses that can capture details more than two miles away.
We can help you select the right VMS to manage your IP camera system and integrate it with your other systems, such as alarm management, video storage and network switches. For example, you can connect your door access control system to your IP cameras and intercoms to safeguard the entire organization as a single holistic security method. This approach reduces complexities and improves security for your facilities and staff.
Enclosures
There are a variety of enclosures available for network IP cameras and other surveillance equipment. They protect the equipment from the elements and help prevent theft or vandalism. These enclosures are available for wall, pole and corner mounting, depending on your facility’s needs. They also have a number of features that make them easy to use and maintain. For example, some have a door that opens wide for full camera access, while others feature a weatherproof cable pathway to extend ethernet, SDI or HDMI cables.
If you are going to be security camera supplier using your camera system in a harsh environment, it is important to choose an enclosure that can handle the temperature. Unlike IP ratings, which only address protection from dust and water (SCW cameras are IP66 or IP67), the NEMA rating system includes temperature as one of its criteria.
NEMA enclosures are designed to be used indoors and can be equipped with special cooling to allow them to operate in high-temperature environments. They can be cooled with either air-active, thermo-electric or cryogenic technology. In addition, some NEMA enclosures are rated as explosion-proof, which allows them to be used in hazardous industrial applications or marine and coast patrol applications where external agents may be highly corrosive.
Software
IP camera systems can be viewed remotely via the Internet using software that is installed on your local computer. Geovision GV-NVR is the most popular software system that provides remote viewing of up to 64 cameras on one computer.
Unlike traditional CCTV where a centralized system handles all the recording and monitoring, an IP camera sends its digital coded video over the Internet to a network computer for processing and storage. Some systems require the use of a central NVR (network video recorder) to handle recording and alarm management. Others are able to work independently, with the cameras recording directly to an external device such as a NAS server.
In addition, IP camera software can be configured to notify you of important events such as gunshots or a vehicle entering the parking lot. Some of the more advanced systems use AI to recognize important events, thus minimizing human error and reducing costs.
An important consideration is whether the system you choose uses security standards to protect the camera’s onboard data. Encryption is key to prevent hackers from lifting company information or disabling the system. Some systems also use PoE (Power over Ethernet) to transmit both electrical power and the camera’s video image over a single cable, eliminating the need for two separate cables. This reduces both installation and hardware costs.
